Stampotique

New stamps are always so much fun, definitely when you love the designs. This art journal page was made with the Gelli Plate and I used a new Stampotique stamp from our new designer Kate Crane. Love her, she is such an inspiration.

Stampotique BLOG HOP

Today we are so excited about the new release for Stampotique Originals!!! We've been keeping it under wraps for weeks now, but know that some of you got a sneak at one of our new stamp artists.

Stampotique is thrilled to add to the line-up the designs one of our former team members and popular mixed media artist, Kate Crane (is that squealing we hear amongst you?). We know you all won't be disappointed with the line-up of stamps from all our artists this go around.

Are you ready to see some wonderful artwork showcasing some of the new stamps? There are 50+ new ones being released this time around, so plenty for everyone to choose from (or choose them all).

Hop along with the design team and 2 special guest bloggers leaving comments along the way. We will choose 3 random winners from 3 selected blogs along the way to win some goodies.

We will choose our winners with our next challenge on February 25th.

You should have arrived here from Kim Howard. Your next stop along the way will be Valerie Wilson. If you get lost anywhere along the way you can come back to the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog to find your way.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday!!! This week the challenge is hosted by France:
We often expect cards on our birthday. How about surprising someone with an unbirthday card? With or without Alice in Wonderland inspiration, make a happy unbirthday card!

I already had an idea in mind which stamps I wanted to use, but had no color inspiration. So for this challenge I did another color search on google (love google hihi) and choose this colors as Alice in Wonderland. Not my typical color scheme, but I like it. I used Dylusions, Distress Stain Spray, Distress Ink Pads and MFT Die-Namics.

Documented Life Project

This year the Art of the 5th gals changed the Documented Life Project a bit. Each week they give an art challenge and an journal prompt to inspire you. I bought a Dylusions journal as they suggested, but didn't use it till recently. Maybe it was my fear of working in a bound journal. I always felt, that if one page was a failure, my whole book was one. Since Life Book I became more confident, if I don't like it I just change it, you always have gesso ;-) So I started, and so far so good. I don't use DLP anymore for documenting my life, I use my Midori planner for this and combine it with Life Book.

Red

I just finished up a superduper cool workshop from the BloknoteAcademy, Red - a mixed media fairy tale. She stimulates the advanced to make their own Red and so I tried. I think she came out lovely. But I sooo love the style from Marieke, just have to make another one someday ;-) It's so cool to make a painting that really tells a story, I don't do that much.
Like I said, she teaches you to look for your own Red and Big Bad Wolf (or you can copy her) and she goes step by step through the process of making this painting. And she makes the best videos I have seen, just eye candy and fun to watch.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday!!! A new challenge brought to you by Sue:
Ever since I was small I've loved the colour yellow and the rest of the citrus colours. They are just so fresh and always make me feel happy. So this week I want you to use citrus colours and spread the happiness!

I googled a color scheme and decided to work with this one. Really love a color challenge, maybe because colors makes me happy too :-D I used my fingers on my Gelli Plate and made a journal page.
