A few weeks ago Lily from The Octopode Factory was looking for new members for her Design Team. I love her Octopodes and thought I would give it a go. I didn't get in, but I did get the honor of being the guest designer for this weeks challenge. The challenge at TOFF is Friends and this is my entry that I made in my journal.

Another ATC for The Octopode Factory Challenge. The challenge this week is houses, so these Whimsical Houses from TOF where perfect. The car from the digital sheet Christmas Toys fits perfectly :-)

The Octopode Factory Challenge: Black & Orange

Followed the challenge blog of The Octopode Factory for a while now, but never joined. This will be the first time :-D The challenge this week is black and orange, perfect for Halloween. I made this ATC with a image from TOF collage sheet and the haunted house stamp is from My Minds Eye.

Last Pages

So these are the last two pages in my journal. I finished the cover, did some ribbon on the bookbinding rings and added some charms. My new journal is ready for use, but it's strange how you have to grow in a new journal, because you're old one was so safe.

New pages

First page was inspired by the very talented Kate Crane, she used this topic in a art journal class. It's about the hats we wear in life, I made it a bit smaller, the hats I wear at home. So the first one is mother, the second one is wife and the third one is being the housekeeper ;-)

As you can see, I really found my style. I enjoy making my pages this way, but do you find it boring to see it over and over again?

Art Journal Pages and Junk Journal

Here some pages i want to share. I'm a bit in a blue phase, cause my little boy is not feeling so well. His teeth are really bothering him. And if my little boy isn't happy, mommy isn't happy. Images i used are from Tumble Fish Studio and Octopode Factory. Also the finished cover of my previous journal.

And at last some photo's of the junk journal i recently put together with pieces of scrap paper i had lying around for ages. But also paper from a Dutch magazine Flow, envelopes, a paper bag, postcards, pages from a chipboard album, music sheets. You can put in everything you don't use, but don't want to throw away. The cover is made from fabric we used for my baby boy's room. I'm going to put photo's, old embellishments and daily ephemera in it.

Art Journal page and Showing Love

After playing in my art journal a few days ago i was in a very happy place and send Crafters Workshop an e-mail showing some love. I just {heart} there templates, it's so much fun to use them, they complete my background every time. Jaime (the owner) showed some love back and put me on there website. They are coming with a new line designed by Julie Balzer. I am so exited and can't wait to get my hands on those and play with them!

Also an art journal page to show that i just made (with a image from Octopode Factory).

Crazy Amigo Challange: Sprookjes

Deze dinsdag is het thema bij de Crazy Amigo's sprookjes. En ik ben dit keer er optijd bij ;-) Lekker bezig geweest en deze twee tags gemaakt. Ik koos voor Alice in Wonderland, gaf me een excuus om de geweldige plaatjes van Octopode te gebruiken.



Voor de linker tag heb ik Distress Ink Pad Walnut Stain, Glimmer Mist Candy Apple Red en een Tim Holtz stempel gebruikt. Voor de rechter tag heb ik Distress Ink Pad Spicy Marmalade, Ranger Color Washes Sailboot Blu en Sunset Orange en ook Tim Holtz Stempels gebruikt. En zoals al gezegd zijn de plaatjes van Octopode.
