For the last time

Yep peeps... this is it... my last post as a Stampotique Design Team member. It was a hard decision and I'm sad to go, but with my new job I don't have a lot of free time and so much I want to do. And what a good way to end this awesome time, by hosting my last challenge:
Every stamper has a little Frankenstein in them. Give a stamp without wings a pair of them. Have fun creating!!

Stampotique Challenge

Yep... still here and with a new challenge. This time it's hosted by Kathi:
My spirit animal must be a magpie as I am attracted to all things that shine, shimmer, or glitter. My challenge for you is to create a project that literally shines!

Not really an easy one for me, but I think my card turned out okay. I used Mega Flakes and also some Perfect Pearls (although you can't see it very well on the photo). Further I used Dylusions sprays and MFT Die-Namics.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Stampotique Day!! This challenge is hosted by Arwen and I had such fun with this one:
I love to combine designs together. This time I want to see something funny. Combines a human body with an animal head. I am looking forward to your creations.
I used a regular matchbox and with the insert you can switch Toby's head :-)

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday!! We have a new challenge for you, hosted by Sam:
I included polka dots in a previous challenge and everyone who took part seemed to have such fun, I thought we could revisit them :) Have fun!
And I certainly did. This card is made with the Gelli Plate in a new favorite color combo of mine. And again I used this awesome stamp from Kate Crane, he is just the cutest. The text was computer generated.

Stampotique

I love this way of art journaling, just layering with marks. First I choose a color scheme and pick different mediums with these colors. That could be stains, acrylics, ink pads, sprays, neo colors and acrylic inks. I also use a lot of stamps and stencils. Than I just play :-)

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday... or should we call it Stampotique day ;-)
This week's challenge is hosted by Magda:
I like using shapes in my projects especially circles. They can give interesting effects on projects depends in what way they are used. I would love to see circles on your creations. How you will use them, depends on your imagination.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Stampotique Day!!! This week the challenge is hosted by Arwen:
Anyone can do a square card. I like unusual creations and would like to see other card types this week. Enjoy the implementation and I'm curious about your art works.

I kept it simple with a folded tag card and a cute little envelope. The tag and postage stamp are made with TH dies. The envelope is made with the WRMK Envelope Punch board. All are sprayed with Dylusions.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday... I can't believe it's been two weeks since I last blogged. But today I'm here with a new challenge for you hosted by me:
At first I was a bit afraid of these intense neon colors, but after using them I really began to love them. They give your work such a nice "pop". I challenge you to use at least one neon color. Can't wait to see your eye popping work :-)

I did another Mark Making page and used some neon orange acrylics, ink, sprays, stencils and a lot of stamps.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy  Wednesday!! And of course we have a new challenge for you, hosted by Jackie:
Numbers have been around for a very long time! They feature so much in our lives! I would like you to incorporate a minimum of one number into your project! I hope you have fun.

I knew two things, for this challenge I wanted to do a mark making page and I waned to use the new Hat Cube. This new stamps is sooo cool and a really good addition to my collection. I used a lot of stamps, stencils and a variation of ink pads, sprays, acrylics, stain and crayons. Really fun to do :-)

Stampotique BLOG HOP

Today we are so excited about the new release for Stampotique Originals!!! We've been keeping it under wraps for weeks now, but know that some of you got a sneak at one of our new stamp artists.

Stampotique is thrilled to add to the line-up the designs one of our former team members and popular mixed media artist, Kate Crane (is that squealing we hear amongst you?). We know you all won't be disappointed with the line-up of stamps from all our artists this go around.

Are you ready to see some wonderful artwork showcasing some of the new stamps? There are 50+ new ones being released this time around, so plenty for everyone to choose from (or choose them all).

Hop along with the design team and 2 special guest bloggers leaving comments along the way. We will choose 3 random winners from 3 selected blogs along the way to win some goodies.

We will choose our winners with our next challenge on February 25th.

You should have arrived here from Kim Howard. Your next stop along the way will be Valerie Wilson. If you get lost anywhere along the way you can come back to the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog to find your way.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday!!! This week the challenge is hosted by France:
We often expect cards on our birthday. How about surprising someone with an unbirthday card? With or without Alice in Wonderland inspiration, make a happy unbirthday card!

I already had an idea in mind which stamps I wanted to use, but had no color inspiration. So for this challenge I did another color search on google (love google hihi) and choose this colors as Alice in Wonderland. Not my typical color scheme, but I like it. I used Dylusions, Distress Stain Spray, Distress Ink Pads and MFT Die-Namics.

Documented Life Project

This year the Art of the 5th gals changed the Documented Life Project a bit. Each week they give an art challenge and an journal prompt to inspire you. I bought a Dylusions journal as they suggested, but didn't use it till recently. Maybe it was my fear of working in a bound journal. I always felt, that if one page was a failure, my whole book was one. Since Life Book I became more confident, if I don't like it I just change it, you always have gesso ;-) So I started, and so far so good. I don't use DLP anymore for documenting my life, I use my Midori planner for this and combine it with Life Book.

Red

I just finished up a superduper cool workshop from the BloknoteAcademy, Red - a mixed media fairy tale. She stimulates the advanced to make their own Red and so I tried. I think she came out lovely. But I sooo love the style from Marieke, just have to make another one someday ;-) It's so cool to make a painting that really tells a story, I don't do that much.
Like I said, she teaches you to look for your own Red and Big Bad Wolf (or you can copy her) and she goes step by step through the process of making this painting. And she makes the best videos I have seen, just eye candy and fun to watch.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Wednesday!!! A new challenge brought to you by Sue:
Ever since I was small I've loved the colour yellow and the rest of the citrus colours. They are just so fresh and always make me feel happy. So this week I want you to use citrus colours and spread the happiness!

I googled a color scheme and decided to work with this one. Really love a color challenge, maybe because colors makes me happy too :-D I used my fingers on my Gelli Plate and made a journal page.

Stampotique Challenge

Happy Hump Day!! This weeks challenge is hosted by Kathi:
E.E. Cummings said, "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." Puns and word play always make me smile. Really good puns make me laugh. Create a project that makes YOU smile, then share it with us! As always, have fun with this challenge!

I made an art journal page on the Gelli Plate, just my usual technique :-)
Have fun searching for a funny quote, I really had fun with that ;-)

Life Book 2015

This is my week 1 lesson by Tamara Laporte, Beacon of Light, carrying my word of the year. Such an awesome teacher <3
This year I will do the Life Book lessons on a smaller size paper and put them in my (Midori) journal. I loved the Documented Life Project last year and I'm combining their format with Life Book. So the tip-ins are the Life Book lessons and inside I will put photos and ephemera of that week.

Stampotique Challenge

Yep... I'm back on the Wednesdays with the Stampotique Designers Challenge. Sadly we start this new year with goodbyes. Our lovely and talented teammates, Kay, Roc and Sarah, have left the building... well I'm sure they will sneak in some time with their gorgeous creations.

This weeks challenge is hosted by Claudine:
Most of us always create a new Years Resolution at the beginning of the new year. For 2015 try your hand at making something with your new years resolution in mind.

I made this art journal page with a new years resolution I know I will keep ;-) No weight loss promises I will break at the end of the week hihi.
This page was made on the gelli plate. The orange is actually Neon, but doesn't show up very well. I tell ya, this page is eye popping :-)
